Accessibility

We build and test peotools.com against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, so that a broker using a keyboard, a screen reader, or higher zoom can read the pages, run the engine on the demo, and reach a person. Accessibility is ongoing work, not a box we check once. We would rather tell you that plainly than claim we are finished.

What we aim for

Our target is WCAG 2.1, Level AA. In plain terms, we work to make the site usable with a keyboard alone, readable by screen readers, legible at higher zoom, clear in its color contrast, and operable without depending on a single sense or a precise gesture. The live demo is held to the same bar. We are not claiming certified, perfect conformance on every page at every moment. Where we fall short, we want to know, and we fix it.

What we have done so far

  • Semantic structure. Real headings, landmarks, and lists in a logical order, so a screen reader and a keyboard user follow the same path the page reads in.
  • Color and contrast. Text and meaningful elements meet AA contrast ratios, and we do not use color alone to carry meaning.
  • Keyboard navigation. Every interactive part is reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a visible focus state.
  • Reduced motion. When your browser requests reduced motion, we honor it and scale back non-essential animation.
  • Forms. Fields carry labels, error messages name the field and the problem, and the contact form can be completed without a mouse.

Where the gaps usually are

Some parts of the site rely on third parties, and those can lag the rest of the page. The Proofline analysis runs from our own application, so we hold it to the AA bar directly. Embedded media from outside services is harder to control end to end. If any of that blocks you, that is on us to solve, not on you to work around.

Found a barrier? Tell us.

If something is hard or impossible to use with your assistive technology, we want to hear about it: the page, what you were trying to do, the browser or assistive technology, and what happened. Send it through our contact form. It goes to a real person, and we answer within two business days. If a fix takes longer, we will tell you and help you get the information another way in the meantime.

This is ongoing work

We review accessibility as the site changes and as we add pages. New work is built to the AA target, and reported issues feed back into how we build the next thing. This statement is a draft, pending legal review. Last updated: June 2026.
